Hi there!  I’m Jen and I am dedicated to helping empower moms in cultivating a more healthy, self-sufficient, and sustainable lifestyle for themselves and their family. I am married to my best friend Tim and together we have 8 amazing children ranging from 29 yrs. down to 7 yrs. Our first 4 are adults (3 are married) and our last 4 keep us young and our lives full of adventure and I love it! In addition, I am blessed to be a Lola to our 6 grandchildren and counting! So I’ve been knee-deep into motherhood for quite a while now and that alone has taught me and helped me grow more than anything I have ever experienced.

We are blessed to live on 100 acres in the beautiful, green state of Georgia. On our homestead, we raise a small herd of goats, pigs, poultry including chickens, geese, & ducks, livestock guardians, honeybees, and a few farm cats. We also have a couple family dogs. Most of our farm animals are heritage breeds. I love and adore having all our farm friends. They bring our family a lot of joy and love as does nature in general. I’m grateful for the learning and growth that animal husbandry provides for our family. Caring for God’s creatures has been one of the best experiences for our family as a whole. We love having them and they have taught us greatly in raising them.

Purging, organizing, & simplifying is a must for me every season of the year at a minimum. Whether it’s our home, my calendar, or whatever is needed. I thrive from organization for the most part and living a simple life.I am a book junkie. I usually have a stack of books at a time that I’m reading from. This is one area that I do not choose to have minimal of although I only keep ones that I consider classics (books worth reading over and over and always learn something from).

We are a homeschooling family and I’m grateful for the freedom we have in doing so. This year will mark 21 years of homeschooling for our family. Over two decades!! Being in and learning from nature including living a homesteading lifestyle encompasses a huge part of our homeschool culture. I also lead a nature club locally for homeschoolers in which we get together with other families and go explore. We love it! I felt the call strongly 21 years ago to homeschool and that is where our family’s journey in living an intentional, empowering, and self-sufficient lifestyle really began.

I’m a Family Herbalist and always love increasing my knowledge about herbs & essential oils, and how these amazing plants can support our family’s body and health. I am also a certified Integrative Health Practitioner and Health Coach and love helping moms get to the root cause of their health issues and watch them begin thriving again. It has been so empowering to be able to take care of most of our family’s health needs from home.

I LOVE digging my hands in the dirt, pulling weeds, and gardening. It really is very therapeutic for me. I also love growing our own food including herbs.Overall, the goal for our family is to live a simple, meaningful, and more self-sufficient & sustainable lifestyle greatly inspired by nature and my hopes are that you will be inspired to as well no matter where you live.

Throughout our journey, I’ve also discovered my life’s calling and responsibility… to share and pass along the knowledge and experiences that I have gained with other homeschool/stay at home moms. My mission is to empower moms to empower families.Thank you for taking the time to visit. I am honored that you have chosen to stop by.
